수목원ㆍ정원의 조성 및 진흥에 관한 법률 제18조(등록의 취소)

① 시ㆍ도지사는 등록수목원이 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우에는 그 등록을 취소할 수 있다. 다만, 제1호에 해당하는 경우에는 그 등록을 취소하여야 하며, 천재지변이나 그 밖의 부득이한 사유로 제3호에 해당하는 경우로서 6개월 이내에 그 사유가 없어진 경우에는 그러하지 아니하다. <개정 2020.3.24>

② 시ㆍ도지사는 「야생생물 보호 및 관리에 관한 법률」 제7조에 따라 기후에너지환경부장관이 서식지외보전기관으로 지정한 수목원의 등록을 취소하려면 미리 기후에너지환경부장관과 협의하여야 한다. <개정 2011.7.28, 2025.10.1>

③ 제1항에 따라 등록이 취소된 수목원의 운영자는 취소된 날부터 7일 이내에 수목원등록증을 시ㆍ도지사에게 반납하여야 한다.

④ 제1항에 따라 수목원의 등록이 취소된 경우에는 그 취소된 날부터 2년 이내에 취소된 그 등록사항을 다시 등록할 수 없다.
