도로법 제57조(도로관리원)

① 도로관리청은 효율적으로 도로를 관리하기 위하여 필요하면 소속 공무원 중에서 도로관리원을 임명할 수 있다.

② 도로관리원은 다음 각 호에 해당되는 자에게 공사의 중지, 도로구역 또는 접도구역에 있는 공작물이나 그 밖의 물건에 대한 개축ㆍ이전ㆍ제거를 명할 수 있으며, 그 공작물이나 물건 때문에 생길 수 있는 위해를 예방하기 위하여 그 소유자 또는 점유자에게 필요한 조치를 하도록 할 수 있다.

③ 제2항에 따라 공사를 중지하도록 명하거나 도로의 안전 등을 위한 조치를 하려는 도로관리원은 그 권한을 표시하는 증표를 지니고 이를 관계인에게 보여 주어야 한다.

④ 제3항에 따른 증표에 관하여는 국토교통부령으로 정한다.
