한국과학기술원법 제14조의2(평의원회)

① 과학기술원(부설기관은 제외한다)에 다음 각 호의 사항을 심의하기 위하여 평의원회를 둔다. 다만, 제2호는 자문에 한정한다.

(1) KAIST케이이스트 (excluding익스클루딩 affiliated어^f필리에이티드 institutions)인스티투션즈 shall섈 have해^v브 a어 council카운슬 to투 deliberate딜리버^r럿 on안 the^ð더 following^f팔로잉 matters.매터즈 However,하우에^v버 subparagraph서브패^r러그^r래^f프 2 is이즈 limited리머티드 to투 advisory애드^v바이저^r리 matters:매터즈

② 평의원회는 11명 이상의 평의원으로 구성하여야 하며, 교원, 직원(연구원을 포함한다), 학생 등 각각의 구성단위를 대표할 수 있는 사람으로 구성하되, 동문 및 과학기술원의 발전에 도움이 될 수 있는 사람을 포함할 수 있다. 이 경우 어느 하나의 구성단위에 속하는 평의원의 수가 전체 평의원 정수의 2분의 1을 초과해서는 아니 된다.

③ 평의원회의 의장ㆍ부의장에 관한 사항, 평의원의 임기, 자료제출 및 회의록 작성에 대해서는 「고등교육법」 제19조의2제3항부터 제6항까지를 준용한다. 이 경우 "학교의 장"은 각각 "총장"으로 본다.

④ 평의원회는 심의 결과를 총장에게 전달하고, 총장은 이사회의 의결이 필요한 사항 또는 중요하다고 판단하는 사항은 이사회에 회부하여야 한다.

(4) The^ð더 council카운슬 shall섈 convey컨^v베이 the^ð더 results^r리절츠 of어^v브 deliberation딜리버^r레이션 to투 the^ð더 president,프^r레저덴트 and앤드 the^ð더 president프^r레저덴트 shall섈 refer^r러^f퍼 to투 the^ð더 board보드 of어^v브 directors더^r렉터즈 any에니 matter매터 requiring^r리콰이어^r링 a어 resolution^r레절루션 of어^v브 the^ð더 board보드 of어^v브 directors더^r렉터즈 or오 deemed딤드 important.임포턴트

⑤ 그 밖에 평의원회의 조직 및 운영에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 정관으로 정한다.

(5) Other어^ð더 matters매터즈 necessary네서세^r리 for^f포 the^ð디 organization오거너제이션 and앤드 operation아퍼^r레이션 of어^v브 the^ð더 council카운슬 shall섈 be비 prescribed프^r리스크^r라이브드 by바이 the^ð디 articles아터클즈 of어^v브 incorporation,인코퍼^r레이션 as애즈 prescribed프^r리스크^r라이브드 by바이 Presidential프^r레저덴실 Decree.디크^r리
