Special Act on the Establishment and Operation of the Korea AeroSpace Administration, Article 9 (Special provisions on appointment)
① 우주항공청 소속 고위공무원단에 속하는 일반직공무원으로 임기제공무원을 채용하려는 경우에는 「국가공무원법」 제2조의2제3항에 따른 평가 및 같은 법 제28조의6제3항에 따른 심사를 생략한다.
(1) When intending to hire a fixed-term public official as a general service public official belonging to the Senior Executive Service of the Korea AeroSpace Administration, the evaluation under Article 2-2 (3) of the State Public Officials Act and the review under Article 28-6 (3) of that Act are omitted.
② 「국가공무원법」 제4조에도 불구하고 우주항공청 소속 임기제공무원의 계급 구분이나 직군 및 직렬의 분류를 대통령령으로 달리 정할 수 있다.
(2) Notwithstanding Article 4 of the State Public Officials Act, the classification of ranks, and of occupational groups and series, of fixed-term public officials of the Korea AeroSpace Administration may be prescribed differently by Presidential Decree.
③ 「국가공무원법」 제26조의3에도 불구하고 다음 각 호를 제외한 분야에 외국인이나 복수국적자(「국적법」 제11조의2제1항에 따른 복수국적자를 말한다)를 임기제공무원으로 임용할 수 있다.
(3) Notwithstanding Article 26-3 of the State Public Officials Act, foreigners or persons with multiple nationalities (meaning persons with multiple nationalities under Article 11-2 (1) of the Nationality Act) may be appointed as fixed-term public officials in fields other than the following:
1. 우주안보와 관련되는 우주항공 정책의 수립 및 조정 분야
1. The field of establishing and coordinating aerospace policy relating to space security;
2. 그 밖에 국가의 안보 및 이익에 중대한 영향을 미칠 수 있는 분야로서 외국인이나 복수국적자가 수행하기에 부적합하다고 인정하여 우주항공청장이 정하는 분야
2. Other fields that may have a material effect on national security and interests and that the Administrator of the Korea AeroSpace Administration determines to be unsuitable for foreigners or persons with multiple nationalities.
④ 「국가공무원법」 제26조의5 및 제28조제1항ㆍ제2항에도 불구하고 우주항공청 소속 임기제공무원의 임용에 관한 다음 각 호의 사항을 대통령령으로 달리 정할 수 있다.
(4) Notwithstanding Article 26-5 and Article 28 (1) and (2) of the State Public Officials Act, the following matters concerning appointment of fixed-term public officials of the Korea AeroSpace Administration may be prescribed differently by Presidential Decree:

⑤ 우주항공청 소속 임기제공무원에 대해서는 「국가공무원법」 제28조의4를 적용하지 아니한다.
(5) Article 28-4 of the State Public Officials Act does not apply to fixed-term public officials of the Korea AeroSpace Administration.
⑥ 「국가공무원법」 제32조제1항에도 불구하고 우주항공청 소속 임기제공무원은 우주항공청장이 임용한다.
(6) Notwithstanding Article 32 (1) of the State Public Officials Act, fixed-term public officials of the Korea AeroSpace Administration shall be appointed by the Administrator of the Korea AeroSpace Administration.
⑦ 우주항공청장은 임기제공무원을 임용할 때에는 다음 각 호의 사항을 약정(約定)하여야 한다.
(7) When appointing a fixed-term public official, the Administrator of the Korea AeroSpace Administration shall agree on the following matters:
1. 임용예정 직위의 직무 내용
1. The duties of the position to be filled;
2. 임용 기간
2. The appointment period;
3. 성과 목표
3. Performance targets;
4. 제12조제1항제2호부터 제5호까지에 따른 면직에 관한 사항
4. Matters concerning dismissal under Article 12 (1) 2 through 5;
5. 제14조제8항에 따른 재산상 이익의 환수에 관한 사항[「공직자윤리법」 제10조제1항에 따른 재산공개대상자인 우주항공청 소속 임기제공무원(이하 "재산공개대상임기제공무원"이라 한다)만 해당한다]
5. Matters concerning recovery of property benefits under Article 14 (8) [limited to fixed-term public officials of the Korea AeroSpace Administration who are subject to property disclosure under Article 10 (1) of the Public Service Ethics Act (hereinafter referred to as "fixed-term public officials subject to property disclosure")].
