국가통합교통체계효율화법 제12조(국가교통조사)

① 국토교통부장관은 국가기간교통망계획 및 중기투자계획 등 국가교통정책을 합리적으로 수립ㆍ시행하기 위하여 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 국가 차원의 교통조사(이하 "국가교통조사"라 한다)를 하여야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23>

② 국토교통부장관은 국가교통조사 및 제16조제1항에 따른 개별교통조사의 중복을 방지하는 등 효율적인 교통조사의 시행과 조사 결과의 공동 활용 등을 위하여 5년 단위로 국가교통조사의 목표 및 전략, 세부 조사의 내용 및 방법 등에 관한 국가교통조사계획을 국가교통위원회의 심의를 거쳐 수립하여야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23>

③ 국토교통부장관은 국가교통조사 또는 제2항에 따른 국가교통조사계획의 수립을 위하여 공공기관의 장에 대하여 필요한 자료의 제출 또는 지원을 요청할 수 있다. 이 경우 공공기관의 장은 특별한 사유가 없으면 이에 따라야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23>
