산림보호법 제13조의4(보호수의 지정해제)

① 시ㆍ도지사 또는 지방산림청장은 천재지변이나 화재 등으로 인한 소실(燒失)ㆍ손상 등으로 지정 목적이 소멸되었거나 지정 목적에 미달된 경우에는 보호수의 지정을 해제할 수 있다.

② 보호수의 지정해제 시에는 이를 공고하고 보호수의 소유자 및 관할 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장에게 알려야 한다.

③ 보호수의 지정해제 절차ㆍ방법 등에 관한 구체적인 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
