보험업법 제167조(지급불능의 보고)

① 손해보험회사는 「예금자보호법」 제2조제8호의 사유로 손해보험계약의 제3자에게 보험금을 지급하지 못하게 된 경우에는 즉시 그 사실을 보험협회 중 손해보험회사로 구성된 협회(이하 "손해보험협회"라 한다)의 장에게 보고하여야 한다. <개정 2015.12.22>

② 손해보험회사는 「예금자보호법」 제2조제8호나목에 따른 보험업 허가취소 등이 있었던 날부터 3개월 이내에 제3자에게 보험금을 지급하여야 할 사유가 발생하면 즉시 그 사실을 손해보험협회의 장에게 보고하여야 한다. <개정 2015.12.22>
