전파법 제39조(위성망의 국제등록)

① 우주국을 개설하기 위하여 위성주파수등을 확보하려는 자는 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 과학기술정보통신부장관에게 위성망 국제등록 신청을 요청하여야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2015.12.22, 2017.7.26>

② 과학기술정보통신부장관은 제1항에 따른 위성망 국제등록 신청 요청의 내용이 다음 각 호에 적합한 경우에는 「국제전기통신연합 전파규칙」에 따라 국제전기통신연합에 위성망 국제등록을 신청하고, 적합하지 아니한 경우에는 그 요청서를 되돌려 보내거나 기간을 구체적으로 밝혀 보완하도록 할 수 있다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2017.7.26>

③ 제2항에 따라 위성망 국제등록 신청이 된 경우에 제1항에 따라 과학기술정보통신부장관에게 위성망 국제등록 신청을 요청한 자는 국제전기통신연합에서 정하는 바에 따라 위성망 국제등록 비용을 부담하여야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2017.7.26>

④ 과학기술정보통신부장관은 제2항에 따라 국제등록 신청을 한 위성주파수등이 확보되면 해당 요청자에게 우선하여 위성주파수등을 제10조제2항에 따라 할당하거나 제18조의2에 따라 사용승인 또는 제18조의4에 따라 지정하여야 한다. <신설 2015.12.22, 2017.7.26>
