자율방범대 설치 및 운영에 관한 법률 제12조(중앙회ㆍ연합회ㆍ연합대 설립 등)

① 자율방범대의 건전한 발전과 자율방범대 간의 정보 교류 및 상호 협력 증진을 위하여 전국 단위의 자율방범중앙회(이하 "중앙회"라 한다) 1개 조직과 특별시ㆍ광역시ㆍ특별자치시ㆍ도ㆍ특별자치도별로 시ㆍ도자율방범연합회(이하 "연합회"라 한다) 1개 조직 및 시ㆍ군ㆍ구별로 시ㆍ군ㆍ구자율방범연합대(이하 "연합대"라 한다) 1개 조직을 설립할 수 있다. 다만, 특별시ㆍ광역시ㆍ특별자치시ㆍ도ㆍ특별자치도에 2개 이상의 시ㆍ도경찰청이 있거나, 시ㆍ군ㆍ구에 2개 이상의 경찰서가 있는 경우에는 2개 조직 이상의 연합회 또는 연합대를 설립할 수 있다. <개정 2025.8.14>

② 중앙회는 경찰청장에게, 연합회는 시ㆍ도경찰청장에게, 연합대는 경찰서장에게 행정안전부령으로 정하는 바에 따라 각각 설립신고를 하여야 한다.

③ 중앙회, 연합회 및 연합대(이하 "중앙회등"이라 한다)의 조직ㆍ운영 및 기능 등에 관한 사항은 행정안전부령으로 정한다.
