자연환경보전법 제30조(자연환경조사)

①환경부장관은 관계중앙행정기관의 장과 협조하여 5년마다 전국의 자연환경을 조사하여야 한다. <개정 2013.3.22>

②환경부장관은 관계중앙행정기관의 장과 협조하여 생태ㆍ자연도에서 1등급 권역으로 분류된 지역과 자연상태의 변화를 특별히 파악할 필요가 있다고 인정되는 지역에 대하여 2년마다 자연환경을 조사할 수 있다. <개정 2013.3.22>

③지방자치단체의 장은 해당 지방자치단체의 조례로 정하는 바에 따라 관할구역의 자연환경을 조사할 수 있다. <개정 2020.5.26>

④지방자치단체의 장은 제3항에 따라 자연환경을 조사하는 경우에는 조사계획 및 조사결과를 환경부장관에게 보고하여야 한다. <개정 2020.5.26>
