우편법 제48조(우편물 등 개봉 훼손의 죄)

① 우편관서 및 서신송달업자가 취급 중인 우편물 또는 서신을 정당한 사유 없이 개봉, 훼손, 은닉 또는 방기(放棄)하거나 고의로 수취인이 아닌 자에게 내준 자는 3년 이하의 징역 또는 3천만원 이하의 벌금에 처한다. <개정 2014.6.3>

② 우편업무 또는 서신송달업무에 종사하는 자가 제1항의 행위를 하였을 때에는 5년 이하의 징역 또는 5천만원 이하의 벌금에 처한다. <개정 2014.6.3>
