우주항공청의 설치 및 운영에 관한 특별법 제20조(한국천문연구원의 설립)

① 우주항공청장은 천문우주과학기술의 연구개발을 위하여 한국천문연구원(이하 "천문연구원"이라 한다)을 설립한다.

② 천문연구원은 법인으로 한다.

(2) The^ð디 Astronomy어스트^r라너미 Institute인스터툿 shall섈 be비 a어 corporation.코퍼^r레이션

③ 천문연구원은 그 주된 사무소의 소재지에서 설립등기를 함으로써 성립한다.

(3) The^ð디 Astronomy어스트^r라너미 Institute인스터툿 comes컴즈 into인투 being비잉 by바이 registering^r레지스터^r링 its잇츠 establishment이스태블리시먼트 at앳 the^ð더 location로케이션 of어^v브 its잇츠 principal프^r린서플 office.오^f피스

④ 천문연구원의 주된 사무소를 이전하려는 경우에는 국회 소관 상임위원회의 동의를 받아야 한다.

(4) To투 relocate^r릴로우케잇 the^ð더 principal프^r린서플 office오^f피스 of어^v브 the^ð디 Astronomy어스트^r라너미 Institute,인스터툿 the^ð더 consent컨센트 of어^v브 the^ð더 competent캄퍼틴트 standing스탠딩 committee커미티 of어^v브 the^ð더 National내셔늘 Assembly어셈블리 shall섈 be비 obtained.어브테인드

⑤ 천문연구원에 관하여 이 법 및 「공공기관의 운영에 관한 법률」에서 규정한 것 외에는 「민법」 중 재단법인에 관한 규정을 준용한다.

⑥ 이 법에 따른 천문연구원이 아닌 자는 한국천문연구원 또는 이와 유사한 명칭을 사용하지 못한다.
