방송통신발전 기본법 제33조(표준화의 추진)

① 과학기술정보통신부장관 또는 방송미디어통신위원회는 방송통신의 건전한 발전과 시청자 및 이용자의 편의를 도모하기 위하여 방송통신의 표준화를 추진하고 방송통신사업자 또는 방송통신기자재 생산업자에게 그에 따를 것을 권고할 수 있다. 다만, 「산업표준화법」에 따른 한국산업표준이 제정되어 있는 사항에 대하여는 그 표준에 따른다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2017.7.26, 2025.10.1>

② 과학기술정보통신부장관 또는 방송미디어통신위원회는 방송통신의 표준을 채택한 때에는 이를 고시하여야 한다. <개정 2013.3.23, 2017.7.26, 2025.10.1>

③ 제1항에 따른 방송통신의 표준화 추진에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
