금융산업의 구조개선에 관한 법률 제8조(금융기관의 합병ㆍ전환에 관한 지원)

① 정부등은 금융기관의 자율적인 합병을 촉진하기 위하여 필요하다고 인정하면 이 법에 따른 합병으로 신설되는 금융기관 또는 존속하는 금융기관에 대하여 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 출자 등 지원을 할 수 있다.

② 이 법에 따른 합병이나 전환으로 신설되는 금융기관, 존속하는 금융기관 또는 전환 후의 금융기관은 합병 전 업무 또는 전환 전 업무로서 그 금융기관에 적용되는 법령에 따라 수행할 수 없는 업무 중 대통령령으로 정하는 업무를 금융위원회의 인가를 받아 대통령령으로 정하는 기간 동안 계속할 수 있다. 이 경우 제9조제1항은 적용하지 아니한다.
