공유재산 및 물품 관리법 제49조(물품의 분류)

① 지방자치단체의 장은 그 소관에 속하는 물품의 관리ㆍ처분의 적정성을 도모하기 위하여 물품을 그 사용과 처분의 목적에 따라 기능별ㆍ성질별ㆍ기관별ㆍ품목별로 분류하여야 한다. <개정 2021.4.20>

② 제1항의 분류는 지방자치단체의 예산에서 정한 물품 관계 경비의 목적에 위배되지 아니하여야 한다. 다만, 특별한 사유로 예산에서 정한 목적에 따라서 분류하기 곤란한 경우에는 따로 이를 분류할 수 있다. <개정 2021.4.20>

③ 제1항과 제2항에 따른 물품 분류의 기준과 그 밖에 물품 분류에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
