인터넷 멀티미디어 방송사업법 제6조(사업권역)

① 인터넷 멀티미디어 방송 제공사업은 전국을 하나의 사업권역으로 한다. 다만, 제4조제1항에 따른 사업허가 시 「중소기업기본법」제2조제1항에 따른 중소기업자의 요청이 있고 방송미디어통신위원회가 특별히 필요하다고 인정하는 때에는 그러하지 아니하다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2013.3.23, 2017.7.26, 2025.10.1>

② 「전기통신사업법」제39조제3항제1호 및 제2호에 따른 기간통신사업자가 제4조제1항에 따른 허가를 받은 경우에는 허가를 받은 날부터 대통령령으로 정하는 기간 이내에 「방송법」제12조제2항에 따라 방송미디어통신위원회가 고시한 모든 방송구역에서 서비스를 개시하여야 한다. 다만, 천재지변이나 그 밖의 부득이한 사유로 인하여 본문의 기간 이내에 서비스를 시작할 수 없을 때에는 방송미디어통신위원회는 대통령령으로 정하는 기간 내에서 한 차례에 한정하여 본문의 기간을 연장할 수 있다. <개정 2008.2.29, 2009.5.21, 2010.3.22, 2013.3.23, 2017.7.26, 2020.6.9, 2025.10.1>
