유아교육법 제24조(무상교육)

① 초등학교 취학직전 3년의 유아교육은 무상(無償)으로 실시하되, 무상의 내용 및 범위는 대통령령으로 정한다. <개정 2012.3.21>

②제1항에 따라 무상으로 실시하는 유아교육에 드는 비용은 국가 및 지방자치단체가 부담하되, 유아의 보호자에게 지원하는 것을 원칙으로 한다. <개정 2010.3.24>

(2) The^ð더 costs카스츠 of어^v브 early얼리 childhood차일드후드 education에저케이션 provided프^r러^v바이디드 free^f프^r리 of어^v브 charge차지 under언더 paragraph패^r러그^r래^f프 (1) shall섈 be비 borne본 by바이 the^ð더 State스테잇 and앤드 local로우클 governments,거^v버먼츠 and앤드 as애즈 a어 rule^r룰 the^ð더 support서포트 shall섈 be비 given기^v븐 to투 the^ð더 guardians가디언즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 young영 children.칠드^r런

③ 제2항에 따라 국가 및 지방자치단체가 부담하는 비용은 제4항의 표준유아교육비를 기준으로 교육부장관이 예산의 범위에서 관계 행정기관의 장과 협의하여 고시한다. <신설 2012.3.21, 2013.3.23>

④ 교육부장관은 제5조제1항에 따른 중앙유아교육위원회의 심의를 거쳐 표준유아교육비를 정한다. <신설 2012.3.21, 2013.3.23>

⑤ 제2항에 따른 지원방법, 제3항에 따른 비용 고시 및 제4항에 따른 표준유아교육비 산정 등에 관하여 필요한 사항은 교육부령으로 정한다. <개정 2012.3.21, 2013.3.23>
