소비자기본법 제78조(자료 및 정보제공요청 등)

①소비자단체 및 한국소비자원은 그 업무를 추진함에 있어서 필요한 자료 및 정보의 제공을 사업자 또는 사업자단체에 요청할 수 있다. 이 경우 그 사업자 또는 사업자단체는 정당한 사유가 없는 한 이에 응하여야 한다.

②제1항의 규정에 따라 자료 및 정보의 제공을 요청하는 소비자단체 및 한국소비자원은 그 자료 및 정보의 사용목적ㆍ사용절차 등을 미리 사업자 또는 사업자단체에 알려야 한다.

(2) A어 consumer컨수머 organization오거너제이션 or오 the^ð더 Korea코^r리아 Consumer컨수머 Agency에이전시 requesting^r리퀘스팅 materials머티^r리얼즈 and앤드 information인^f퍼메이션 under언더 paragraph패^r러그^r래^f프 (1) shall섈 inform인^f폼 the^ð디 enterpriser엔터프^r라이저 or오 enterprisers'엔터프^r라이저즈 organization오거너제이션 in인 advance어드^v밴스 of어^v브 the^ð더 purpose퍼퍼스 and앤드 procedures프^r러시저즈 for^f포 using유징 the^ð더 materials머티^r리얼즈 and앤드 information.인^f퍼메이션

③제1항의 규정에 따라 소비자단체가 자료 및 정보를 요청하는 때에는 제79조의 규정에 따른 소비자정보요청협의회의 협의ㆍ조정을 미리 거쳐야 한다.

④제1항의 규정에 따라 자료 및 정보를 요청할 수 있는 소비자단체의 요건과 자료 및 정보의 범위 등에 관한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.

⑤제1항 내지 제4항의 규정에 따라 사업자 또는 사업자단체로부터 소비자단체에 제공된 자료 및 정보는 미리 사업자 또는 사업자단체에 알린 사용목적이 아닌 용도 및 사용절차가 아닌 방법으로 사용하여서는 아니 된다.
