산림보호법 제14조(산림정화구역의 지정 등)

① 산림청장, 특별자치시장ㆍ특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장 또는 지방산림청장은 오염되었거나 오염될 우려가 있어 오염을 방지ㆍ정화할 필요가 있는 산림이나 산림환경 보전을 위하여 필요하다고 인정되는 산림의 전부 또는 일부를 대통령령으로 정하는 기준에 따라 산림정화구역으로 지정할 수 있다. <개정 2014.6.3>

② 산림청장, 특별자치시장ㆍ특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장 또는 지방산림청장은 제1항에 따라 지정된 산림정화구역에 오염방지시설을 설치하는 등 산림오염의 방지ㆍ정화 및 산림환경 보전을 위하여 필요한 조치를 할 수 있다. <개정 2014.6.3>

③ 산림청장, 특별자치시장ㆍ특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장 또는 지방산림청장은 산림정화구역이 지정 목적을 달성하였거나 계속 둘 필요가 없다고 인정하면 그 지정을 해제할 수 있다. <개정 2014.6.3>

④ 산림청장, 특별자치시장ㆍ특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장 또는 지방산림청장은 제1항에 따라 산림정화구역을 지정하거나 제3항에 따라 지정을 해제하면 그 사실을 고시하여야 한다. <개정 2014.6.3>

⑤ 산림정화구역의 지정 절차 및 관리, 그 밖에 필요한 사항은 농림축산식품부령으로 정한다. <개정 2013.3.23>
