기상청과 그 소속기관 직제 제2조(소속기관)

① 기상청장의 관장사무를 지원하기 위하여 기상청장 소속으로 수치예보센터ㆍ기상기후인재개발원ㆍ국가기상위성센터 및 기상레이더센터를 둔다. <개정 2015.1.6, 2016.12.27, 2026.1.6>

② 기상청장의 소관 사무를 분장하기 위하여 기상청장 소속하에 지방기상청을 둔다.

③ 기상청장의 관장사무를 지원하기 위하여 「책임운영기관의 설치ㆍ운영에 관한 법률」 제4조제1항, 같은 법 시행령 제2조제1항 및 별표 1에 따라 기상청장 소속하에 책임운영기관으로 국립기상과학원 및 항공기상청을 둔다. <개정 2009.4.30, 2010.4.13, 2016.12.27>
