국민건강증진법 제19조(건강증진사업 등)

①국가 및 지방자치단체는 국민건강증진사업에 필요한 요원 및 시설을 확보하고, 그 시설의 이용에 필요한 시책을 강구하여야 한다.

②특별자치시장ㆍ특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장은 지역주민의 건강증진을 위하여 보건복지부령이 정하는 바에 의하여 보건소장으로 하여금 다음 각호의 사업을 하게 할 수 있다. <개정 1997.12.13, 2008.2.29, 2010.1.18, 2017.12.30, 2019.12.3>

③보건소장이 제2항의 규정에 의하여 제2항제1호 내지 제5호의 업무를 행한 때에는 이용자의 개인별 건강상태를 기록하여 유지ㆍ관리하여야 한다. <개정 2019.12.3>
