국가교육위원회 설치 및 운영에 관한 법률 제16조(국민참여위원회)

① 사회 각계의 의견을 폭넓게 수용하고 시민 참여와 사회적 합의에 기반하여 그 소관 사무를 추진하기 위하여 위원회 소속으로 국민참여위원회를 둔다.

② 국민참여위원회는 위원회가 제10조에 따른 소관 사무를 추진하는 경우 국민의견 수렴과 관련된 자문을 수행한다.

(2) The^ð더 Public퍼블릭 Participation파티서페이션 Committee커미티 shall섈 provide프^r러^v바이드 advice애드^v바이스 relating^r릴레이팅 to투 the^ð더 collection컬렉션 of어^v브 public퍼블릭 opinion어피니언 when웬 the^ð더 Commission커미션 pursues퍼수즈 the^ð디 affairs어^f페어즈 under언더 its잇츠 jurisdiction주^r러스딕션 under언더 Article아터클 10.

③ 국민참여위원회의 위원은 위원장이 위촉한다. 이 경우 국민참여위원회의 위원은 지역별, 연령별, 성별 및 직능별로 균형있게 구성되도록 하여야 한다.

④ 국민참여위원회의 위원장은 위원회 위원 중에서 위원회의 재적위원 과반수 동의를 얻어 위원장이 지명하는 사람이 된다.

⑤ 국민참여위원회의 구성 및 운영에 필요한 사항은 대통령령으로 정한다.
