4ㆍ16세월호참사 진상규명 및 안전사회 건설 등을 위한 특별법 제18조(사무처의 설치)

① 위원회의 사무를 처리하기 위하여 위원회에 사무처를 둔다.

② 사무처에는 사무처장 1명과 필요한 직원을 두며, 부위원장이 사무처장을 겸한다.

(2) The^ð더 secretariat세크^r리테^r리엇 shall섈 have해^v브 one원 Secretary세크^r러테^r리 General제너^r럴 and앤드 necessary네서세^r리 staff,스태^f프 and앤드 the^ð더 vice^v바이스 chairperson체어퍼슨 shall섈 concurrently컨커^r런틀리 serve서^v브 as애즈 the^ð더 Secretary세크^r러테^r리 General.제너^r럴

③ 사무처의 직원 중 3급 이상의 공무원 또는 고위공무원단에 속하는 공무원은 위원회의 심사를 거쳐 위원장의 제청으로 대통령이 임명하고, 4급 또는 5급 공무원은 위원회의 심사를 거쳐 위원장이 임명하며, 6급 이하의 공무원은 사무처장의 제청으로 위원장이 임명한다.

④ 사무처장은 위원장의 지휘를 받아 사무처의 사무를 관장하고 소속 직원을 지휘ㆍ감독한다.

(4) The^ð더 Secretary세크^r러테^r리 General,제너^r럴 under언더 the^ð더 direction더^r렉션 of어^v브 the^ð더 chairperson,체어퍼슨 supervises수퍼^v바이지즈 the^ð디 affairs어^f페어즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 secretariat세크^r리테^r리엇 and앤드 directs더^r렉츠 and앤드 supervises수퍼^v바이지즈 its잇츠 staff.스태^f프

⑤ 이 법에 규정된 사항 외에 사무처의 조직 및 운영에 필요한 사항은 위원회의 규칙으로 정한다.
