화학무기ㆍ생물무기의 금지와 특정화학물질ㆍ생물작용제 등의 제조ㆍ수출입 규제 등에 관한 법률 제17조(주무관청의 권한과 사찰대상자의 권리 등)

① 주무관청은 국제사찰을 하는 전(全) 기간 동안 화학무기금지협약에 따른 피사찰(被査察) 당사국 대표로서의 권한을 행사하고 국제사찰에 대한 책임을 진다.

② 사찰대상자는 국제사찰의 시작 전이나 진행 중에 화학무기금지협약에 따른 국제사찰의 대상이 되지 아니하는 시설ㆍ설비 또는 비밀 자료나 그 밖의 정보를 보호하기 위하여 필요한 조치를 할 수 있다.

③ 사찰대상자는 국제사찰 과정에서 사찰관의 질문 내용이 통보된 사찰 목적과 관련이 없는 경우에는 답변을 거부할 수 있다. 다만, 사찰단장이 다시 같은 내용의 질문을 서면으로 제시하는 경우에는 답변을 거부하는 데에 필요한 해명 자료를 제출하여야 한다.
