법무부장관은 다른 체약국으로의 불법적인 이동 또는 유치로 인하여 협약에 따른 양육권이 침해된 자, 또는 협약에 따른 면접교섭권이 침해된 자가 아동반환 지원 신청 등을 하는 경우에 아동 소재국 중앙당국으로의 지원 신청서 전달 등 협약에서 정한 범위에서 그에 필요한 지원을 할 수 있다.
