통합방위법 제15조(통합방위작전)

① 통합방위작전의 관할구역은 다음 각 호와 같이 구분한다.

② 시ㆍ도경찰청장, 지역군사령관 또는 함대사령관은 통합방위사태가 선포된 때에는 즉시 다음 각 호의 구분에 따라 통합방위작전(공군작전사령관의 경우에는 통합방위 지원작전)을 신속하게 수행하여야 한다. 다만, 을종사태가 선포된 경우에는 지역군사령관이 통합방위작전을 수행하고, 갑종사태가 선포된 경우에는 통합방위본부장 또는 지역군사령관이 통합방위작전을 수행한다. <개정 2020.12.22>

③ 통합방위사태가 선포된 때에는 해당 지역의 모든 국가방위요소는 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 통합방위작전을 효율적으로 수행하기 위하여 필요한 지휘ㆍ협조체계를 구축하여야 한다.

④ 제1항부터 제3항까지에서 규정한 사항 외에 통합방위작전 관할구역의 세부 범위 및 통합방위작전의 시행 등에 필요한 사항은 실무위원회의 심의를 거쳐 통합방위본부장이 정한다.

⑤ 통합방위작전의 임무를 수행하는 사람은 그 작전지역에서 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 임무 수행에 필요한 검문을 할 수 있다.
