축산물 위생관리법 제31조의6(축산물의 이물 발견보고 등)

① 대통령령으로 정하는 영업자(「수입식품안전관리 특별법」 제15조에 따라 등록한 수입식품등 수입ㆍ판매업자를 포함한다. 이하 이 조에서 같다)는 소비자로부터 판매제품에서 축산물의 가공ㆍ포장ㆍ유통 과정에서 정상적으로 사용된 원료 또는 재료가 아닌 것으로서 섭취할 때 위생상 위해가 발생할 우려가 있거나 섭취하기에 부적합한 물질[이하 "이물(異物)"이라 한다]을 발견한 사실을 신고받은 경우에는 지체 없이 이를 식품의약품안전처장, 시ㆍ도지사 또는 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장에게 보고하여야 한다.

② 「소비자기본법」에 따른 한국소비자원 및 소비자단체는 소비자로부터 이물 발견의 신고를 접수하는 경우에는 지체 없이 이를 식품의약품안전처장에게 통보하여야 한다.

③ 시ㆍ도지사 또는 시장ㆍ군수ㆍ구청장은 소비자로부터 이물 발견의 신고를 접수하는 경우에는 이를 식품의약품안전처장에게 통보하여야 한다.

④ 식품의약품안전처장은 제1항부터 제3항까지의 규정에 따라 이물 발견의 신고를 통보받은 경우에는 이물혼입 원인 조사를 위하여 필요한 조치를 취하여야 한다.

⑤ 제1항에 따른 이물 보고의 기준ㆍ대상 및 절차 등에 필요한 사항은 총리령으로 정한다.
