지식재산 기본법 제36조(지식재산 제도의 국제화)

① 정부는 국내외에서의 지식재산의 창출ㆍ보호 및 활용이 효과적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 국내의 지식재산 제도가 국제적 합의사항 및 규범과 조화를 이루는 데 필요한 시책을 마련하여 추진하여야 한다.

② 정부는 국제적으로 조화될 수 있는 지식재산 제도를 마련하기 위하여 외국정부, 국제기구 등과 협력하여야 한다.

③ 정부는 외국정부, 국제기구 등과의 조약ㆍ협약 등 국제적 합의가 국내의 지식재산 관련 제도ㆍ정책이나 시장에 미칠 수 있는 영향을 조사ㆍ분석하여 적절한 대책을 마련하여야 한다.
