제대군인지원에 관한 법률 제19조(교육지원)

① 국가는 장기복무 제대군인으로서 「고등교육법」 제2조제1호부터 제6호까지의 학교 및 이에 준하는 학교(같은 법 제29조의2제1항 및 제30조에 따른 대학원과 대학원대학은 제외한다)에 재학하는 사람에게 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 입학금 및 수업료를 감면하거나 보조할 수 있다. <개정 2012.1.17, 2016.5.29, 2021.6.8>

② 국가 또는 지방자치단체는 장기복무 제대군인이 대통령령으로 정하는 생활수준에 미치지 못하고 그 자녀가 「초ㆍ중등교육법」에 따른 고등학교 또는 이에 준하는 학교에 재학하는 경우 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 해당 자녀의 입학금과 수업료를 감면하거나 보조할 수 있다. <개정 2021.6.8>

③ 제1항이나 제2항에 따라 입학금 및 수업료를 감면받거나 보조받을 수 있는 장기복무 제대군인 또는 그 자녀가 다른 법령에 따라 입학금ㆍ수업료 등을 감면받거나 보조받는 경우에는 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 그에 해당하는 금액은 지원하지 아니한다. <개정 2012.1.17, 2013.7.16, 2016.5.29>
