이 법은 인공지능 및 데이터를 기반으로 한 행정의 활성화와 인공지능의 안전한 활용에 필요한 신뢰 기반 조성에 관한 사항을 정함으로써 효율적ㆍ객관적ㆍ과학적인 행정을 통하여 공공기관의 책임성, 대응성 및 신뢰성을 높이고 국민의 삶의 질을 향상시키는 것을 목적으로 한다. <개정 2026.2.27>
