우편법 제45조(손해배상에 따른 대위)

우편관서는 손해배상을 한 후 그 우편물의 전부 또는 일부를 발견하였을 때에는 그 손해배상을 받은 자에게 통지하여야 한다. 이 경우 손해배상을 받은 자는 그 통지를 받은 날부터 3개월 내에 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 배상금의 전부 또는 일부를 반환하고 그 우편물의 교부를 청구할 수 있다.
