양육비 이행확보 및 지원에 관한 법률 제2조(정의)

1. "양육비"란 「민법」 제4조에 따른 성년이 아닌 자녀(이하 "미성년 자녀"라 한다)를 보호ㆍ양육하는 데 필요한 비용을 말한다.

6. "양육비 채무자"란 미성년 자녀를 직접 양육하지 아니하는 부 또는 모로서 양육비 채무를 이행하여야 하는 사람(비양육부ㆍ모의 부모가 부양료를 지급하여야 하는 경우에는 비양육부ㆍ모의 부모를 포함한다)을 말한다.
