선박의 입항 및 출항 등에 관한 법률 제24조(예선업의 등록 등)

1. 예선은 자기소유예선[자기 명의의 국적취득조건부 나용선(裸傭船) 또는 자기 소유로 약정된 리스예선을 포함한다]으로서 해양수산부령으로 정하는 무역항별 예선보유기준에 따른 마력[이하 "예항력"(曳航力)이라 한다]과 척수가 적합할 것

2. 예선추진기형은 전(全)방향추진기형일 것

4. 예선의 선령(船齡)이 해양수산부령으로 정하는 기준에 적합하되, 등록 또는 변경등록 당시 해당 예선의 선령이 12년 이하일 것. 다만, 관리청이 예선 수요가 적어 사업의 수익성이 낮다고 인정하는 무역항에 등록 또는 변경등록하는 선박의 경우와 해양환경공단이 「해양환경관리법」 제67조에 따라 해양오염방제에 대비ㆍ대응하기 위하여 선박을 배치하고자 변경등록하는 경우에는 그러하지 아니하다.
