상법 제876조(선박충돌에의 적용법규)

①항해선 상호 간 또는 항해선과 내수항행선 간의 충돌이 있은 경우에 선박 또는 선박 내에 있는 물건이나 사람에 관하여 생긴 손해의 배상에 대하여는 어떠한 수면에서 충돌한 때라도 이 절의 규정을 적용한다.

②이 절에서 "선박의 충돌"이란 2척 이상의 선박이 그 운용상 작위 또는 부작위로 선박 상호 간에 다른 선박 또는 선박 내에 있는 사람 또는 물건에 손해를 생기게 하는 것을 말하며, 직접적인 접촉의 유무를 묻지 아니한다.
