국가 및 지방자치단체는 임업인의 권익보호와 경제적ㆍ사회적 지위 향상을 위하여 산림조합, 산림조합중앙회 및 「임업 및 산촌 진흥촉진에 관한 법률」 제29조의2에 따른 한국임업진흥원 등 임업관련 단체의 설립 및 운영을 지원할 수 있다. <개정 2015.1.20>
