사료의 수집ㆍ편찬 및 한국사의 보급 등에 관한 법률 제12조(사료의 조사)

① 위원회는 사료의 현황을 파악하기 위하여 전국 또는 지역 단위의 사료조사 및 국외의 사료 조사를 실시하여야 한다.

② 제1항의 사료 조사를 위하여 필요한 경우에 위원회는 국가기관ㆍ지방자치단체 또는 개인이나 단체에 대하여 소장하고 있는 사료의 목록을 요청할 수 있고, 해당 기관의 장과 개인이나 단체는 이에 협조하여야 한다.
