보안관찰법 제6조(보안관찰처분대상자의 신고)

①보안관찰처분대상자는 대통령령이 정하는 바에 따라 그 형의 집행을 받고 있는 교도소, 소년교도소, 구치소, 유치장 또는 군교도소(이하 "矯導所등"이라 한다) 에서 출소전에 거주예정지 기타 대통령령으로 정하는 사항을 교도소등의 장을 경유하여 거주예정지 관할경찰서장에게 신고하고, 출소후 7일이내에 그 거주예정지 관할경찰서장에게 출소사실을 신고하여야 한다. 제20조제3항에 해당하는 경우에는 법무부장관이 제공하는 거주할 장소(이하 "居所"라 한다)를 거주예정지로 신고하여야 한다. <개정 2020.2.4>

②보안관찰처분대상자는 교도소등에서 출소한 후 제1항의 신고사항에 변동이 있을 때에는 변동이 있는 날부터 7일이내에 그 변동된 사항을 관할경찰서장에게 신고하여야 한다. 다만, 제20조제3항에 의하여 거소제공을 받은 자가 주거지를 이전하고자 할 때에는 미리 관할경찰서장에게 제18조제4항 단서에 의한 신고를 하여야 한다.

③교도소등의 장은 제3조에 해당하는 자가 생길 때에는 지체없이 보안관찰처분심의위원회와 거주예정지를 관할하는 검사 및 경찰서장에게 통고하여야 한다.
