다중이용업소의 안전관리에 관한 특별법 제2조(정의)

1. "다중이용업"이란 불특정 다수인이 이용하는 영업 중 화재 등 재난 발생 시 생명ㆍ신체ㆍ재산상의 피해가 발생할 우려가 높은 것으로서 대통령령으로 정하는 영업을 말한다.

2. "안전시설등"이란 소방시설, 비상구, 영업장 내부 피난통로, 그 밖의 안전시설로서 대통령령으로 정하는 것을 말한다.

3. "실내장식물"이란 건축물 내부의 천장 또는 벽에 설치하는 것으로서 대통령령으로 정하는 것을 말한다.

4. "화재위험평가"란 다중이용업의 영업소(이하 "다중이용업소"라 한다)가 밀집한 지역 또는 건축물에 대하여 화재 발생 가능성과 화재로 인한 불특정 다수인의 생명ㆍ신체ㆍ재산상의 피해 및 주변에 미치는 영향을 예측ㆍ분석하고 이에 대한 대책을 마련하는 것을 말한다.

5. "밀폐구조의 영업장"이란 지상층에 있는 다중이용업소의 영업장 중 채광ㆍ환기ㆍ통풍 및 피난 등이 용이하지 못한 구조로 되어 있으면서 대통령령으로 정하는 기준에 해당하는 영업장을 말한다.

6. "영업장의 내부구획"이란 다중이용업소의 영업장 내부를 이용객들이 사용할 수 있도록 벽 또는 칸막이 등을 사용하여 구획된 실(室)을 만드는 것을 말한다.
