뉴스통신 진흥에 관한 법률 제8조(등록 등)

① 뉴스통신사업을 하려는 자는 「전파법」에 따라 무선국의 허가를 받거나 그 밖의 정보통신기술을 이용하여 대통령령으로 정하는 정보통신체제를 갖춘 후 외국의 뉴스통신사와 뉴스통신계약을 체결하고 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 다음 각 호의 사항을 문화체육관광부장관에게 등록하여야 한다. 등록된 사항을 변경하려는 경우에도 또한 같다. <개정 2021.5.18>

② 제1항에 따라 뉴스통신사업의 등록을 하였을 때에는 문화체육관광부장관은 지체 없이 등록증을 발급하여야 한다.

③ 이미 등록된 뉴스통신의 제호, 「신문 등의 진흥에 관한 법률」 제9조에 따라 등록된 신문ㆍ인터넷신문, 「잡지 등 정기간행물의 진흥에 관한 법률」 제15조 및 제16조에 따라 등록되거나 신고된 정기간행물의 제호와 같은 제호는 등록할 수 없다.
