국가와 지방자치단체는 농업과 농촌의 환경보전 기능을 증대시키고 안전한 농산물과 품질 좋은 식품의 생산 및 소비를 촉진하기 위하여 친환경농업 등의 생산기반 구축, 생산기술ㆍ생산방법의 개발, 친환경 농산물 등의 인증 및 가축분뇨의 자원화 등에 필요한 정책을 세우고 시행하여야 한다. <개정 2015.6.22>
