Special Act on Health and Medical Services in Rural and Fishing Villages, etc., Article 17 (Status and Appointment of Community Health Practitioners)

① 보건진료 전담공무원은 지방공무원으로 하며, 특별자치시장ㆍ특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장이 근무지역을 지정하여 임용한다.

② 특별자치시장ㆍ특별자치도지사ㆍ시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 보건진료 전담공무원이 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 경우에는 그 보건진료 전담공무원을 징계할 수 있다.

1. 정당한 이유 없이 지정받은 근무지역 밖에서 의료행위를 한 경우

3. 제20조에 따른 관할구역 이탈금지 명령을 위반하여 허가 없이 연속하여 7일 이상 관할구역을 이탈한 경우

③ 제2항에 따른 징계의 절차ㆍ방법, 그 밖에 필요한 사항은 「지방공무원법」에 따른다.
