남북교류협력에 관한 법률 제5조(협의회의 구성)

① 협의회는 위원장 1명을 포함한 25명 이내의 위원으로 구성한다. <개정 2020.12.8>

② 위원장은 통일부장관이 되며, 협의회의 업무를 총괄한다.

(2) The^ð더 chairperson체어퍼슨 shall섈 be비 the^ð더 Minister미너스터 of어^v브 Unification,유너^f퍼케이션 and앤드 shall섈 oversee오우^v버시 the^ð디 affairs어^f페어즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 Council.카운슬

③ 위원은 다음 각 호의 어느 하나에 해당하는 사람 중에서 국무총리가 임명하거나 위촉한다. 이 경우 위원 중 7명 이상은 제2호에 해당하는 사람으로 하되, 이 중 1명 이상은 「지방자치법」 제165조제1항제1호에 따라 설립된 협의체가 추천하는 사람으로 한다. <개정 2020.12.8>

④ 위원장이 부득이한 사유로 직무를 수행할 수 없을 때에는 위원장이 미리 지정한 위원이 직무를 대행한다.

⑤ 제3항제1호에 해당하는 위원이 회의에 출석하지 못할 부득이한 사유가 있을 때에는 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 그가 소속된 기관의 다른 공무원으로 하여금 회의에 대리출석하여 그의 권한을 대행하게 할 수 있다.

⑥ 협의회에는 위원장이 지명하는 간사 1명을 둔다.
