Enforcement Decree of the Act on Water Management and Support for Residents of the Nakdong River Basin, Article 34-2 (Exemption of Water Use Charges for Users of River Water)

Where a user of river water under Article 32 (2) 2 of the Act falls under any of the following, the water use charge is exempted under paragraph (7) of that Article:
1. 국가나 지방자치단체가 수질오염을 측정할 목적으로 하천수를 사용하는 경우
1. Where the State or a local government uses river water for the purpose of measuring water pollution
2. 다음 각 목의 어느 하나에 해당하는 목적으로 하천수를 사용하는 경우로서 사용 후 하천으로 방류되는 물에 「물환경보전법」 제2조제7호에 따른 수질오염물질이 새로 포함되지 않고, 취수된 하천수의 양과 방류된 물의 양에 변동이 없는 경우
2. Where river water is used for any of the following purposes, and water pollutants under Article 2, subparagraph 7 of the Water Environment Conservation Act are not newly included in the water discharged into the river after use, and there is no change in the volume of river water taken and the volume of water discharged:
가. 「전기사업법」 제2조제4호에 따른 발전사업자가 하천수를 냉각수로 사용하는 경우
(a) Where a power generation business operator under Article 2, subparagraph 4 of the Electric Utility Act uses river water as cooling water
나. 하천수를 「재생에너지 개발ㆍ이용ㆍ보급 촉진법 시행령」 제2조제4항 및 별표 1 제5호에 따른 수열에너지의 생산에 사용하는 경우
(b) Where river water is used to produce thermal energy from water under Article 2 (4) and Attached Table 1, subparagraph 5 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Promotion of the Development, Use, and Distribution of Renewable Energy
