군인연금법 제54조(서류의 제출요구권 등)

① 국방부장관은 이 법에 따른 급여를 지급받을 권리가 있는 사람에게 신분상의 이동, 장해 정도, 그 밖에 급여의 지급에 관하여 필요한 서류 또는 물건의 제출을 요구할 수 있다.

② 국방부장관은 이 법에 따른 급여와 그 밖에 군인연금제도의 적정한 운영을 위하여 필요하다고 인정할 때에는 국가기관, 지방자치단체, 「국민건강보험법」 제42조제1항에 따른 요양기관, 그 밖에 대통령령으로 정하는 단체나 기관에 제27조제3항에 따른 소득 등의 조사나 그 밖에 군인연금업무에 필요한 주민등록ㆍ가족관계등록ㆍ국세ㆍ지방세ㆍ토지ㆍ건물ㆍ건강보험ㆍ장애인등록 등 대통령령으로 정하는 자료의 제출을 요청할 수 있다. 이 경우 자료의 제공을 요청받은 단체나 기관은 특별한 사유가 없으면 그 요청에 따라야 한다. <개정 2023.10.31>

③ 제2항에 따라 제공되는 자료에 대해서는 사용료ㆍ수수료 등을 면제한다.

④ 제1항의 경우에 급여를 받을 권리가 있는 사람이 정당한 사유 없이 그 요구에 따르지 아니하면 이에 따를 때까지 그 사람에 대한 급여의 지급을 중지할 수 있다.
