국제개발협력기본법 제23조(재외공관의 역할)

① 재외공관 (「대한민국 재외공관 설치법」에 따른 대한민국 재외공관을 말한다. 이하 같다)은 국제개발협력 사업의 발굴, 추진 및 평가 등 사업시행 과정에 참여하여야 한다.

(1) Overseas오우^v버시즈 diplomatic디플러매틱 missions미션즈 (meaning미닝 overseas오우^v버시즈 diplomatic디플러매틱 missions미션즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 Republic^r리퍼블릭 of어^v브 Korea코^r리아 under언더 the^ð디 Act액트 on안 the^ð디 Establishment이스태블리시먼트 of어^v브 Overseas오우^v버시즈 Diplomatic디플러매틱 Missions미션즈 of어^v브 the^ð더 Republic^r리퍼블릭 of어^v브 Korea;코^r리아 hereinafter히^r리내^f프터 the^ð더 same세임 applies)어플라이즈 shall섈 participate파티서페잇 in인 the^ð더 project프^r라젝트 implementation임플러멘테이션 process,프^r라세스 such서치 as애즈 discovering,디스커^v버^r링 promoting,프^r러모우팅 and앤드 evaluating이^v밸류에이팅 international인터내셔늘 development디^v벨럽먼트 cooperation코아퍼^r레이션 projects.프^r라젝츠

② 시행기관은 국제개발협력 사업의 원활한 추진을 위하여 사업시행 과정에서 외교부를 통하여 재외공관과 협의하여야 하며 필요한 지원을 받을 수 있다.

③ 재외공관은 관할구역에서 이 법에 따라 실시되는 국제개발협력 사업에 대한 현황을 대통령령으로 정하는 바에 따라 연 1회 이상 파악하여 그 결과를 주관기관을 거쳐 위원회에 보고하여야 한다. 이 경우 위원회는 보고받은 결과를 정기국회 개회 전까지 정무위원회와 외교통일위원회 등 국회 소관 상임위원회에 보고하여야 한다. <신설 2026.3.10>

④ 재외공관은 제1항 및 제3항에 따른 활동에 필요한 자료를 외교부를 통하여 시행기관에 요청할 수 있으며, 요청을 받은 시행기관은 특별한 사유가 없으면 이에 따라야 한다. <개정 2026.3.10>

⑤ 재외공관은 국제개발협력 사업의 원활한 추진을 위하여 제19조에 따른 전문 인력을 둘 수 있다. <신설 2026.3.10>
