국방과학기술혁신 촉진법 제12조(국방과학기술 지식ㆍ정보의 관리)

① 방위사업청장은 국방과학기술과 관련된 다음 각 호의 지식ㆍ정보를 종합적ㆍ체계적으로 관리하여야 한다.

② 방위사업청장은 제1항에 따라 관리하는 국방과학기술 지식ㆍ정보 중 군사목적상 공개하기가 곤란하다고 인정되는 경우를 제외하고는 「과학기술기본법」 제26조에 따른 과학기술지식ㆍ정보 등의 관리ㆍ유통에 관한 시책에 따라 관리ㆍ유통될 수 있도록 하여야 한다.

③ 방위사업청장은 국방과학기술 지식ㆍ정보를 효율적으로 관리하기 위하여 연구기관등에 대하여 국방연구개발을 통해 확보한 국방과학기술 지식ㆍ정보와 관련 자료의 제출을 요청할 수 있으며, 해당 기관ㆍ법인 또는 단체의 장은 특별한 사유가 없으면 그 요청에 따라야 한다.

④ 방위사업청장은 제1항에 따른 국방과학기술 지식ㆍ정보의 체계적 관리를 위하여 무기체계별 기술 보유현황 및 주요 선진국과 비교한 국내기술수준에 대한 조사를 3년마다 실시하여야 한다.
