직원의 징계는 징계위원회의 의결을 거쳐 원장이 한다. 다만, 3급 이상 직원에 대한 강등ㆍ해임ㆍ파면은 징계위원회의 의결을 거쳐 원장의 제청으로 대통령이 한다.
