③세관장은 제2항에 따라 등록신청을 한 자가 법 제223조에 따른 등록요건을 갖추고 다음 각 호에 해당하는 경우에는 해당 등록부에 필요한 사항을 기재하고 등록증을 교부한다. <개정 2021.2.17>

⑤ 세관장은 제2항에 따라 등록을 한 자에게 등록의 유효기간을 갱신하려면 등록의 유효기간이 끝나는 날의 1개월 전까지 등록 갱신을 신청해야 한다는 사실과 갱신절차를 등록의 유효기간이 끝나는 날의 2개월 전까지 휴대폰에 의한 문자전송, 전자메일, 팩스, 전화, 문서 등으로 미리 알려야 한다. <신설 2012.2.2, 2021.2.17>
