첨단재생의료 및 첨단바이오의약품 안전 및 지원에 관한 법률 제21조(첨단재생의료 임상연구 장기추적조사)

① 안전관리기관의 장은 심의위원회가 장기추적조사가 필요하다고 심의ㆍ의결한 첨단재생의료 임상연구에 대하여 장기추적조사를 실시하여야 한다.

② 연구대상자와 재생의료기관은 제1항에 따른 장기추적조사가 실시될 경우 안전관리기관의 장의 지시에 따라야 한다. 이 경우 정부는 지시의 이행에 소요되는 비용을 지원할 수 있다.

③ 안전관리기관의 장은 제1항에 따른 장기추적조사를 종료하였을 때에는 보건복지부장관에게 그 결과를 보고하여야 한다.

④ 보건복지부장관은 장기추적조사 결과 등에 따라 필요한 경우 재생의료기관 등에 대하여 첨단재생의료 임상연구 중지, 환자의 보호대책 마련 등 대통령령으로 정하는 공중보건상 필요한 조치를 할 수 있다.
