주민등록법 시행령 제17조의4(해외체류자의 변경신고)

① 해외체류자가 해외체류신고한 주소를 변경하려는 경우에는 해외체류 변경신고서를 새 주소지를 관할하는 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장에게 제출해야 한다. 이 경우 종전에 신고한 주소를 법 제10조의3제1항 단서에 따른 행정상 관리주소로 변경할 때에는 해외체류신고 당시 거주지를 관할하는 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장에게 신고해야 한다.

② 제1항에 따른 변경신고의 위임과 그 확인에 관하여는 제17조제2항 및 제3항을 준용한다. 이 경우 "출국하려는 사람"은 "해외체류자"로, "출국 후"는 "주소 변경 후"로, "해외체류신고"는 "해외체류자의 변경신고"로 본다.

③ 제1항에 따른 변경신고를 받은 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 지체 없이 종전에 해외체류신고된 주소지를 관할하는 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장에게 그 변경 사실을 통보해야 한다.

④ 제3항에 따른 통보를 받은 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 다음 각 호의 구분에 따라 주민등록표와 관련 공부를 정리한 후 지체 없이 새 주소지를 관할하는 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장에게 주민등록정보시스템을 이용해 이송해야 한다. <개정 2023.1.10>

⑤ 제4항에 따라 주민등록표와 관련 공부를 이송받은 시장ㆍ군수 또는 구청장은 이송받은 주민등록표 및 관련 공부와 제1항에 따른 해외체류 변경신고서를 대조ㆍ확인한 후 세대별 또는 개인별 주민등록표에 다음 각 호의 기준에 따라 그 변경 사항 등을 기록해야 한다.
